The Heads on Fire Community

Well last week the electronics team all got their own circuit board layout and we all had to make our own design and make it work right. Pretty much who ever had the cleanest layout got their circuit board layout made. But later on there was a circuit board made and i dont know whose layout it was but i guess it worked.

So last tuesday everyone went to Mission Trails. What we did was we went out and Mapped our trip around Mission Trails. What my job was to use the Magellan triton to mark way points. What ever we thought was kind of important i marked it as a waypoint.

Today i went over my 2nd drawdio cause i did something wrong while making it the other day. So i went over it and fixed what was wrong, i put some parts in the wrong place and after i fixed that it still didnt work or make a sound. So i asked fabiola to check double check and she saw that i put one of the speaker wires on row 6 which there isnt suppose to be a row 6 hahah. So i desolder that pin and put it in the right spot. Then i tried the drawdio and it worked and made a sound, i put it together and gave it to jake.

Yesterday we went hiking in Mission Trails and it was intense, probally because i didnt wear the right clothing. My job of the day was to mark way points and my partner Christain is to write down what each waypoint is and what was there, and the time. for example 001- grinding rocks 11:45.  I have never been on a hike but it was pretty fun, i'll probally come back sometime in the future. The grasslands didnt look like how it looked in the video so that sucked, but we saw the SD river and the wall that the Kumeyaay built that was beautiful.

So we made a googe earth life time line of places we have been to out of san diego. The places I've been to is Vietnam, Arizona, Hawaii, Sacramento, Santa Monica beach. We made a quick video and fly by's of the places we've been to and explained where we went and how it was and Why we went there.

In the making of a 2nd Drawdio for someone in the structure team, Well my first one had a short somewhere but then i fixed it, also i found out some stuff that wouldve caused the problem. So now since i know what to look for i can find out whats causing problems in the 2nd drawdio.

    This week the electronics team made something called the Drawdio. A Drawdio is a Pencil that has a circuit board that we build and add it on to the pencil. What the circuit board does it has a Circuit board, 2 capacitors, 2 resistors, transitors, ceramic capacitor, a chip that has a timer, speaker, thumbtack, wire, copper foil, and a pencil. So what the drawdio does it makes music/ sound with using graphite to have enough energy to make sound which we use to make music.

Well i took my personal project and added 2 red LED lights. It took me a while because i had to flip my LED's and then i broke both. So i got 2 new LED's and hooked rewired it, once i was finished 1 LED didnt light up...... So i had to go back and check what was wrong and i guess not enough power was going through to the other LED. So i re wired it all over again! Once that was done it was all finished :) i broke 2 needles from trying to get them through wood.

What I made in the FabLab is a Picture I took and it was printed on wood. On the picture I have layers

with a picture of me pasted on there and 2 photography flash umbrella's, then i added a film strip border.

What i made explains, how i grew up around cars and how i picked up  photography as a hobby. I have

a photography label which is Bojanlges Photography. On my project i printed out my label with the vinyl cutter.
